Kwizzy for teachers
Last updated: October 2026
Use it with a class in three ways
- Library quizzes, no account. Pick a subject and grade level from the library and have students play on their own devices. Nobody has to sign in.
- Your own quizzes. With a free account you can type up to 10 questions per quiz and keep 5 quizzes. Pro adds AI drafting from a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file, photos, a link or a topic (every question can be edited before you use it), unlimited quizzes and up to 30 questions per quiz.
- Live games. Start a game with any library quiz or one of your own and show the QR code or 6-digit code. Students join on their phones with a nickname (no accounts), answer each question, and you reveal the answer when you're ready. An optional big-screen view is available for the projector. A free account hosts up to 5 games a month with up to 40 players each.
What you see afterwards
With Pro, the post-game report shows, for each question, how many players answered, what share got it right and how many chose each option. It reports on the class as a whole and can be downloaded as a CSV file. Every plan also gets a leaderboard: players earn 500 to 1000 points for a correct answer (faster is worth more) and the top places are shown on the big screen and phones, with the full list on your screen at the end. Scores are kept under the nicknames players chose, so ask students not to use real names.
Things to know
- Creating quizzes and hosting live games needs a free teacher account (email link, or Google, Apple or Facebook sign-in; no card). Students never need one.
- When you use AI generation, the text of the document, link or topic you provide is sent to Google's Gemini service to draft the questions. Don't upload documents containing students' personal information.
- Up to 40 players can join a free live game, and up to 50 on Pro.
- For how student data is handled, read the student privacy page. Tell students to use a nickname rather than their real name.
